Terms of use

The rules for using NaiCar, in plain language — rules nobody reads protect nobody.

Your account

You are responsible for what is posted from your account. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us immediately if you believe somebody else has used it.

One account per person. Duplicate accounts used to get around ad limits will be closed, and the ads with them.

You must be able to enter a legally binding agreement to sell a vehicle. If you are posting for a business, the showroom account is the right shape for that — it says who you are.

What you may post

Vehicles and parts you own or are authorised to sell, described accurately, priced genuinely, with photographs of the actual item. The picture policy sets out exactly what a photograph may and may not show.

No stolen goods, no vehicles with altered or missing chassis numbers, no non-transferable documents sold as transferable, and no ads for services rather than items.

One ad per vehicle. Re-posting the same vehicle to climb the results is what the Bump feature is for; duplicates are removed.

Photographs

Photographs must be of the vehicle in the ad, taken by you or with the owner’s permission. Stock photography, another seller’s images and AI-generated images of a vehicle you do not possess are all misrepresentation.

The full rules — including watermarks, number plates and what our moderators remove — are in the picture policy, which is part of these terms.

Promotion and payments

Posting is free. Featuring, bumping and badges are optional paid placements, always labelled as such, and priced on the promotion pricing page.

Paid placement buys position, never approval: a featured ad passes the same review as a free one, and a promoted ad that breaks these rules is removed without refund.

Enquiries and conduct

Messages exist so buyers and sellers can complete a sale. Harvesting phone numbers, spamming sellers, or using enquiry details for anything beyond the sale is abuse and ends the account doing it.

Be straight with people. A deposit demanded before a viewing, a price that changes at handover, a “booking fee” for a car that does not exist — report these from the ad and we act on the reports.

What we may do

We may refuse, edit or remove any ad, and suspend or close an account that repeatedly or seriously breaks these rules.

We may change these terms. When we do, the change is dated here, and continuing to use NaiCar after it means the new terms apply.

Our role and our limits

We are a marketplace, not a party to your sale. We do not own the vehicles, hold funds, inspect vehicles, transfer ownership or guarantee any transaction.

The price guide is a statistical estimate built from comparable ads. It is information, not a valuation certificate, and the price you agree is between you and the other party.

To the extent the law allows, NaiCar is not liable for losses arising from a sale between users. Verify the vehicle, its documents and the person — the buying safely guide shows how.
